Part of the Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust (WLCT), Chase Leisure Centre is based in Staffordshire and provides a number of fitness classes, 3G pitches and a swimming pool to the local community.
WLCT were already seeing an excellent 6% reduction from the powerPerfector Plus unit installed in September 2013.
As a long-standing customer, powerPerfector offered a free trial of the latest advancement in powerPerfector technology to demonstrate the benefits of upgrading to the powerPerfector iQ.
The powerPerfector iQ is a retro-fit addition to existing powerPerfector technology, designed to increase existing savings and add security and resilience from fluctuating grid voltages and variable power quality. This is achieved through the intelligent and super-fast responsive design.
WLCT saw existing savings boosted following the upgrade, with the powerPerfector iQ providing an additional 2% kWh savings per year, which represents a 33% improvement from the original installation.
At the current average energy tariff, savings are calculated at £3,752 per year.
If WLCT had not had the upgrade as a free trial offer, the powerPerfector iQ would have generated a payback of between 3-4 years, impressive results for this retro-fit technology.
